In 1859, the Pilgrim Society laid the cornerstone for a canopy over the cash advance of the Rock on the wharf. The canopy, designed by Hammatt Billings, cash advance finished in 1867.

The same facilities are used for breakfast and the standard was excellent with a wide choice. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and the manager reacted extremely well when we had a problem with the lateness of cleaning our room.

Overall an enjoyable stay. Situated in the heart of the city is the Copthorne Hotel Plymouth. With the vibrant nightlife and cultural attractions in Devon right on our doorstep, and a short walk away from the Barbican and iconic Mayflower steps, we are hard to beat on location and convenience.
